The Pirates picked up another football pledge on Friday when Greenville (NC) Rose wide receiver Mydreon Vines made his decision to attend East Carolina University.

Vines hauled in 41 catches for 641 yards and 7 touchdowns as a junior with the Rampants.

He picked up the offer on Monday and visited the campus on Thursday. The Rose High star didn’t wait very long before making a decision to become a Pirate.

Along with the offer from East Carolina, the 6-0, 170 pounder also has offers from Appalachian State, Charleston Southern and North Carolina Central.

Vines is Coach Scottie Montgomery and East Carolina’s ninth commitment for the class of 2017.
