East Carolina Ranked #15 in Three National Collegiate Baseball Polls

GREENVILLE, N.C. – After finishing the 2016 season with a solid 38-23-1 record and its fourth Super Regional appearance, the East Carolina baseball team finished in the top 15 in three national polls.

The Pirates were victorious at this year's Charlottesville NCAA Regional.

ECU ended up ranked 15th in the Baseball America, Collegiate Baseball and National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) final poll.

The Pirates ended up No. 16 in the D1Baseball and USA Today/Coaches polls following their first-ever Super Regional win against Texas Tech who was the number five national seed.

It was the fifteenth time in program history that ECU was ranked in the final polls and first time since 2011.
