Georgia Military defensive back Marcus Holton committed to ECU on Saturday after an official visit to the school.

He announced his commitment on Twitter on Saturday.

"Blessed to say I have committed to East Carolina," Holton announced.

Holton, who picked up an ECU offer in March, stands 6-1, 175 and adds to an already growing recruiting class on the defensive side of the football. He should be set to enroll in January.

The Georgia Military standout is originally out of Godby High in Tallahassee, Florida where he also played wide receiver.

Holton also held current offers from both Western Kentucky and Marshall along with the Pirates.

Wisconsin was after him as a high school prospect and was earlier this spring considered to be a leader for Holton's services, but an offer hadn't come yet.

Holton has 4.4 speed and had two interceptions as a freshman. He hopes to be an immediate contributor in 2017.

The pledge finds Scottie Montgomery and East Carolina at 13 commitments for the class of 2017.
